Alexandra Plesner is an Austrian creative strategist and visual artist predominantly based in London.

She started her career working as the art director and head of product at Swarovski, focusing on the retail experience of the ‘Kristallwelten’; the entertainment arm of Swarovski. After four years, Alexandra left the Alps for London to study MA in Applied Imagination from Central Saint Martins.

She then worked as a creative strategist across top-tier fashion and lifestyle agencies such as Dazed Media, Karla Otto, and Tank Magazine, before moving into communications for Method Inc, a global design and strategy agency.

In January 2017, Alexandra left London for travelling, studied International Women's Health & Human Rights through Stanford University and moved to Los Angeles. She founded "Wølf" (Wolf Studios Ltd) upon her return to Europe in May 2018.

Using artisanal casting methods, the pieces draw their aesthetic from the textures found in the Austrian Alps which are symbolic of her roots, coupled with symbolism from her experience with the wolf dog sanctuary "WolfConnection" in California, with their characteristics that balances both structure and wildness.

This combination seeks to convey a sense of grounding in ones self, and provide the strength and courage to push beyond what is comfortable. Each piece is made with craftsmanship excellence and carries an attitude – radiating confidence, translating the journey of personal growth into somewhat ‘time-worn’ and ‘imperfect’ design elements.

Her work has been featured in publications such as Wallpaper*, Design Week, iD Magazine, Creative Boom, Esquire Middle East, Elle Russia, YCN and It’s Nice That.
